      Kingdom Tower

 

Working as a QA/QC Engineer on Kingdom Tower to plan, organize, coordinate and oversee the overall implementation of QMS. Implement and monitor inspection, measurement and test procedures with the goal of ensuring only good quality products reach customers. Develop work performance standards, schedule and assign work and develop priorities, provide technical expertise as needed or requested. 

       Duties

·      Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products: Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering field.

·      Inspection of construction activities on site as per standards and specification.

·      Quantity estimation.

·      Conducting concrete and soil test as per ASTM standard.

·      Daily coordination with consultant for ongoing works, submission of IR (Inspection Request)

·      Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.

·      Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.

·      Directs with workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.

     Storm Water Drainage System (JSDP)

 

Working as a QA/QC Engineer on storm water drainage program

To plan, organize, coordinate and oversee the overall implementation of QMS. Develop work performance standards, schedule and assign work and develop priorities, provide technical expertise as needed or requested. 

 Duties

·      Daily coordination with consultant for ongoing works, submission of IR (Inspection Request) and their approval.

·      Insure all equipment’s are calibrated in accordance with appropriate methods and standards.

·      Inspection of construction activities on site as per Aramco engineering standards and specification.

·      Raising RFI, s for Aramco inspectors for all construction activities and tests.

·      Issuing NCR, s to construction team for improper work.

·      Conducting concrete and soil test as per ASTM standard.

·      Establish laboratory policies in consultation with the specialized management develop and maintain appropriate control and quality assurance procedures, ensure compliance with safety requirements. 

·      Interpret results of laboratory activities to laboratory personnel, management, professional and technical societies.

·      Prepare reports and technical documents.

·      To select and review the quotations from suppliers.

·      To source suppliers and sign agreement for regular supply.

·      To check incoming material and re-order for rejected one.

·      To co-ordinate with quality department for deviation.

 

3- Al Haramain & Co JEDDAH (KSA). (March 2013 – March 2014)

(Roads & Structure Division)                   

                    

Working as Construction Engineer on Road & Structural Works

Here I am responsible for ensuring that the projects run smoothly and structures are completed within budget and on time. I am also the in charge of applying procedures and systems to ensure the safety of staff and to manage the entire project.

 Duties

 

·                       Delivering various engineering related projects such as 45 km AGRICULTURE ROAD including earthworks and heavy load bearings structures such as bridges, culverts and intersections from feasibility stage through to site implementation.

·                       Overseeing construction of box culverts (3.5m x 3m in dimension, Skew (45, 60, 90).

·                       Undertaking surveys.

·                       Quantity estimation.

·                       Responsible for preparing the bar bending schedule for culverts and bridge super structure.

·                       Responsible for construction of culverts and bridge.

·                       Responsible for laying of asphalt base course, aggregate base course and sub-base.

·                       Major responsibility of meeting with Consultant and Ministry Personnel.

·                       Liaising with all parties involved in a project.

·                       Monitoring resources and maintaining progress against budgets.

·                       Overseeing the actual construction on the ground.

·                       Organizing human and material resources on site.

·                       Supervise the execution of construction activities like excavation, steel fixing, concreting, back-filling and asphalt paving.

 

4- TECHNO CONSULT INTERNATIONAL with ROYAL HASKONING (Mar, 2010–Feb, 2013)

(Maritime and Coastal Division)

Worked as a Site/Marine Engineer on Berth # 7, 8 and 9 of Qasim International Container Terminal

- II Project, a project of Dubai Port World under Supervision of Royal Haskoning (UK) as Prime Consultant and Marine works Designer, CCCC-FHDI Engineering Company Limited (CHINA) as Quay Wall Designer, China Harbor Engineering Company (CHEC) as main Contractor for Marine works and Gantrex S. A. (Germany) for Rail Installation works. The Site of this development is located immediately to the west of QICT Terminal - I, at Port Qasim, near Karachi, Pakistan. The construction of Project comprises 727 m Quay wall (berth) catering for maximum 85,000 DWT Ships, Reclamation of approximately 16 hectares for a container yard.

   Responsibilities performed at Site are as under:

 

·          Certify quality and quantity of all construction works and verification of contractor IPC’s.

·          In charge of offshore driving of tubular piles (228 nos) (Ǿ 2016mm), steel sheet piles (228 nos) (width 1.34m) with D128 Diesel Hammer.

·          In charge of construction of temporary trestle for rotary drilling inside Steel Tubular Piles.

·          In charge of driving of precast Anchor Piles (665nos) (length 9.0 m) on land with D80 Diesel Hammer.

·          Installation of tie rod (Ǿ 115 mm) (length 24m) and its tensioning up to 1500 psi.

·          Inspection of quay wall, anchor system, capping beam, rear crane beam and RTG beam.

·          In charge of land reclamation, ground improvement and laying of geo textile for land.

·          In charge of pavement works i.e. rigid pavement, flexible pavement and pavers block.

·          Inspection of materials and there testing as per specification and standards.

·          In charge of building construction, mass concrete works at site and precast yard.

·          Regular site inspection, supervisions and preparing daily, weekly and monthly progress report.

·          Monitoring overall work progress and planning the works to meet the main contractors program.

·          Checking compliance of method statement submitted by contractor with their site execution works.
